Sports reporting with a social media twist.
After years in the corporate world, CadChica (Sunny) discovered an outlet for her sports passion through Twitter. Recognizing early that Twitter could be used to “report” sports, CadChica quickly carved out her own niche as a Twitter sports reporter. CadChica is able to an abundance of information related to sports events, athletes, breaking stories from across the sports spectrum which have gained the trust of many in the sports industry. Some of her followers include media at ESPN, CBS Sports, FOX Sports, Yahoo! Sports, Seattle Times, Arizona Republic, Idaho-Statesman, Spokesman-Review, etc. This credibility led to her work with radio stations in Spokane, WA and North Idaho and most recently as a freelance researcher for the ESPN show, UNITE.
CadChica Sports is a look at the marriage between sports and social media. Twitter’s exponential growth over the last few years can be attributed, in part, to the adoption of it as a sports news reporting source. Controversy, hilarity, hypocrisy, fanaticism, and more are all dissected on CadChica Sports.
